December Meeting Minutes

Vandergrift Sportsmen’s Association, Inc.
December 9, 2025

The monthly meeting was held on Tuesday December 9, 2025, at 7:00pm. Presided over by President
Tom Becker. There were 25 members present. Meeting opened with the “Pledge of Allegiance.” The
minutes from the November meeting were passed out to all members present. A motion to accept the
minutes as read was made by Roy Duff and seconded by Terry Huth. The motion was passed by voice
vote. The treasures report from November was passed to all members present. A motion to accept the
treasurer’s reports was by Frank Gray and seconded by Ray Huth. The motion passed by voice vote.

OLD BUSINESS:
Frank Gray made a motion that #4 be changed to read: Junior members under 16 yrs. MUST be
accompanied by an adult club member.
Larry Laurenti stated that the OSB board to finish the walls in the garage was delivered.
Frank gave a report on the site-in days and thanked all who helped.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:


BUILDINGS: Neil Jankosky


Neil: Work on the garage is ongoing.


GROUNDS: Bob Matteo & Ron Henry


Bob: 50-yard target stand blew over again. Needs to be secured better.

RANGE: Bruce Bartrug


Bruce: Ron, Dom, and Bruce changed Homasote and repaired pistol target

ARCHERY: Larry Laurenti


Larry: Range is still being used.

TRAP: Steve Milicic


Steve: 53 lines shot for $285.00, and a Balance of $2038.00.
Steet Light to be replaced by West Penn Power Co.

FIVE-STAND: Roy Duff


The 5-Stand is now closed for the season and will open in April.

YOUTH DAY: Frank Gray


Frank: Youth Day will be August 1, 2026.

NRA: Ron Henry


Ron: Has not heard back from the NRA about the grant.

MEMBERSHIP: Debbie Becker
Debbie: 609 renewals have been received.
She passed out a list of 50 new members: A motion was made to accept by Roy Duff and 2 nd . by Rich
Catchpole, Motion Passed.

NEW BUSINESS


Bob Matteo stated that dates for SWAT training are: March 12, 2-10pm. Night training, May 14, 9-5pm.,
June 25, 9-5pm., and September 10, 9-5pm.
Tom Becker stated that the port-a-johns were serviced for the winter.
Steve Milicic stated that the well water needs to be repaired, in the spring.
Bob Matteo thanked the club for the donation of $170.00 for the Trail Life organization at The
Murrysville Alliance Church for Wreaths Across America.


RAFFLE


Don Eckman won $28.00
Brian Gavaghan donated Hats and other things. Lyle Walker won them


PAY BILLS


A motion to pay the bills from November was made by Frank Gray and seconded by Ran Huth. The
motion passed by voice vote.


ADJOURNMENT


A motion for adjournment was made by Ray Huth and seconded by Steve Milicic. The motion was
passed by voice vote.
