Vandergrift Sportsmen’s Association Inc.

December 12, 2017

The monthly meeting was held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at 7:00 PM, presided over by Vice President Frank Gray. There were 19 members present. The meeting opened with the “Pledge of Allegiance”. The minutes from the November   meeting were passed out to all members present.  A motion to accept the minutes  was made by Larry Gamble and seconded by Brain McCollim. The motion was passed by a voice vote. The treasurer’s report was passed out to all members present. A motion to accept the treasurer’s report as written was made by Harry Frick and seconded by Francis Gray. The motion was passed by a voice vote.

 OLD BUSINESS

1 A report on sight-in days was given by Fray Gray there were 34 people took part in the three days.

  1. M&M tree service has not yet trimmed trees on the ranges.

Larry Laurenti stated the 3D targets have been put away for the year.

Trap

Steve Milcic reported that 41 lines were shot bringing in $164.00.  

That leaves trap with an ending balance of $2,904.00.

5-Stand Report

Jim Troiano  reported

Expenses  battery charge $36.61

That leaves 5 stand with an ending balance of $627.66.

Ways and Means

John Lawrence stated an ending balance $610.38.

Youth Day

Brian McCollim Stated RMEF grant has been applied for on November  30, and has been accepted.

NRA 

Jim Lewis  stated NRA banquet will be held on February 9 2018 .

MEMBERSHIP

NEW BUSINESS   

A motion  not to give Tomm Gallovich free membership  was made by Bob Matteo  and seconded by Jim Wigle. The motion passed by voice vote.

A motion to look in to a electric gate at club entrances was made by Jim Lewis and seconded by Bob Matteo. The motion passed by voice vote.

A key will be given to port-a-john services so they can clean the port-a-johns  

50/50 RAFFLE 

The 50/50 Raffle was won by Francis Gray. He won $10.00 and donated it to Youth Day.

A light was won by Butch Schrengost.

Gun locks were won by Brian McCollim, Geff Spiering, Don Kaufman.

A calendar was won by James Chikar.

A list of outstanding bills was presented. A motion to pay the bills was made by Larry Gamble,  and seconded by Francis Gray, Sr. The motion was passed by a voice vote.

PAY BILLS

A motion to pay the bills was made by Larry Gamble and seconded by James Chikar. The motion passed by voice vote.

 ADJOURNMENT

A motion for adjournment was made by Harry Frick. and seconded by Butch Schrengost. The motion was passed by a voice vote.
